About YWAM International

Youth With A Mission is an international movement of Christians from many denominations dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. Also known as YWAM, our passion is to Know God and Make Him Known.

All started with a vision God gave to a 20 years old student of waves of young people going to every continent to sharing the good news. With this radical idea that young people could be missionaries in mind Loren Cunningham started, in 1960, an organisation with that idea expressed in its name: YOUTH WITH A MISSION. Today YWAM has grown but the focus remains to offer young people opportunities to reach out in Jesus’ name through short term mission work. Operating in more than 180 countries, our many ministries fit into three categories: Evangelism, Training and Mercy ministry. All Ywam locations are tied together by shared faith, vision and values.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

We, of Youth With A Mission, believe that the Bible is God’s inspired and authoritative word, revealing that Jesus-Christ is God’s son; that people are created in God’s image; that he created us to have eternal life through Jesus-Christ; that although all people have sinned and come short of God’s glory, God has made salvation possible through the death on the cross and resurrection of Jesus-Christ; that repentance, faith, love and obedience are fitting responses to God’s initiative of grace towards us; that God desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth; and that the Holy Spirit’s power is demonstrated in and through us for the accomplishment of Christ’s last commandment “ ……… Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation” Mark16:15
